CROSS-fit #20 Breathe

Deep in the WOD, when we're all out to do our best, we often forget to do the most vital of things.
Breathe.
You're so caught up in getting that rope under you, in controlling that 140 pound barbell over your head.
You just place all your concentration on those tasks such that you forget to breathe.
Go ahead, try sprinting all out for 100m, amateur runners would probably get gassed 50m down.

You'll beat yourself if you don't control your breathing.

Here you are, trying so hard to deal damage to the WOD, to the problem, to the devil.
You forget to breathe, so your every lift, every push, every act has NO power.

Breathe, with every movement, every swing, every jump, every prayer, every trial.
It generates so much more power than you'd ever imagine.
If you can't control such a simple task when you're doing some intricate movements, what makes you think you can pull it off against something that can actually fight back?

In the ever elusive strive to be a better person, better athlete, better Christian.
Always remember to breathe, with every new move, with every new step.
It could be prayer, it could be that call to your best friend, it could be that dedication of your life again, maybe simply taking time to appreciate where you've come from.
Make it regular, make it a habit.
Breathe, whatever that may be to you.
